MAIN GOLF EVENTS

 

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

The club championship is played over two rounds as a “stroke” competition. One round is a Sunday game and the other is a midweek game and is played with three grades based on the Competition Details contained herein.

In the event of a tie for any grade a play off will occur over three holes nominated by the match committee. If there is still a deadlock, then a sudden death play off will take place on a hole by hole basis.

In order to qualify for the club championships you must:

  • Be a full financial member of the Italian Golf Association; and
  • Have played a minimum of five (5) games during the calendar year.

MATCH PLAY

  • Singles – The best 8 scores from both A Grade and B Grade from the nominated game during the year will qualify to play.
  • Doubles – The best (8) Pairs from the nominated game during the year will qualify to play.
  • CUP TOURNAMENTS

There are various games allocated as cup tournaments including the Summer Cup, Autumn Cup, Winter Cup, Spring Cup, Captain’s Cup and President’s Cup. Cup Tournaments will also include a Medal Day. All Medal winners will play off for a Medal of Medallist to be held on the last Sunday game before Presentation Night.

MASTERS

Where a player wins a trade day during the year, they automatically qualify for The Masters of the following year. There is no cost to play.

 AGGREGATE COMPETITION

The Aggregate Competition consists of the seven (7) best scores of ten (10) designated games during the year. They are split between five (5) Sunday games and five (5) midweek games. The player with the best aggregate score over the seven (7) games will be declared the Winner and receive their prize at the Presentation Night and the Runner Up will also receive a prize at the Presentation Night.

GRAND SLAM TROPHY

The Grand Slam consists of the four (4) major days played during the year. The player with the best aggregate score over the four (4) games will be declared the Winner and receive their prize at the Presentation Night.
